Key developments
Israel said it targeted senior Hamas figure Ali al-Amoudi in a Gaza City apartment on 3 October and was checking the outcome. CNA, carrying AFP reporting, cited Al-Shifa hospital officials who said five people died, including four women. The report did not establish that the intended target was killed.
Displaced families in Khan Younis appealed for tents, blankets, food and medical supplies before winter. Middle East Monitor, citing Anadolu, reported that residents feared renewed flooding and exposure because existing shelters offered little protection.
On 4 October Israel said it killed the Gaza director of Turkish aid organisation Deniz Feneri and alleged he belonged to Hamas’s armed wing. Le Monde/AFP reported that the military supplied no evidence for that allegation; the claim should remain attributed.
